Over-the-air updates are completed through hardware and require no cooperative software within the target processor. Just use any supported MCU (which contains ROM-based first-stage bootloaders), and wire up the ‘strapping pins’ between the Notecard and that MCU. Most modern STMicroelectronics or Espressif MCU will work, as well as select MCUs from Nordic.
